Reykjavík, Iceland: Photo Diary

Ticking off my first new country of 2019, I travelled to Iceland for a snowy roadtrip around the south of the country, with my best friend, Nicola. Our first day saw us enjoy the capital city, Reykjavík. Although we didn’t have the best weather, we were able to make the most of our short time in the city and catch all the must do’s of the city. Expect a lot more posts about Iceland to come in the following weeks.

Coffee at Reykjavik roasters

Our day started by us warming up with coffees at Reykjavik Roasters, a cute little spot with seriously good coffee.

Hallgrimskirkja Church

The famous Hallgrimskirkja church, stands at the top of the city and where we saw our first snowfall on the trip.

Tower View

Climbing the tower offers you an amazing view of the city, even in a snow shower.

Cute little colourful houses throughout the city.

A trip to Iceland isn’t complete without a hot dog from Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur, stands can be found across the city.

Walk along the waterfront for views from The Sun Voyager.

Warm up in the Harpa Building, Reykjavik’s concert and conference hall.

And lastly (although not technically in Reykjavik), a short drive out of town to warm up and relax in the famous Blue lagoon, a trip to Iceland wouldn’t be complete without.
