Ah a classic, an all round party pleaser in its simplest form, cheesecake! It’s easy to make and even easier to eat!

Oreo Cheesecake

You will need a 7 inch spring form round tin

Ingredients:

(for the crust)

  • 150g oreos, biscuit only
  • 25g butter, melted

(for the filling)

  • 500g cream cheese
  • 250ml double cream
  • 150g icing sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla paste
  • 100g crushed oreos

(to decorate)

  • 150ml double cream
  • melted chocolate
  • oreo crumbs and half oreos
  1. Begin by lining the tin with greased baking paper, crush the oreos with a rolling pin in a sandwich bag till they resemble bread crumbs, you don’t want it too powdery.
  2. Add the crumbs and butter in a mixing bowl and stir till well combined, pour into the tin and press firmly down.
  3. For the filling, place the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and half the cream into a bowl and whip till thick and creamy, this will take some time! With the other half of the cream whip till soft peaks and fold into the cream cheese mix along with the crushed oreos.
  4. Leave to set in the fridge for at least an hour. To decorate, drizzle melted chocolate over the top, whip up cream and pipe decoratively round the edge and sprinkle over the oreo crumbs.
